Ten restored icons from the Émile Hannouche Collection, dated 1705 to 1856, go on display under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Iassen Tomov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Lebanon. The restoration was carried out in Kaslik by Nezabravka Parvanova of Bulgaria's National Museum of History, assisted by Pascale El Corm.
LHF, USEK, and the Embassy of Bulgaria sign a new 19-month agreement, “Restoring Sacred Icons: Preserving Cultural Heritage and Making History Visible”, worth 38,482.95 BGN.
Eleven further Catholic manuscripts and early printed books, dated 1735 to 1841, are conserved and digitised in 5,356 images. The first phase, from July 2022 to January 2023, covered 16 manuscripts copied between 1712 and 1859, in 7,010 images, now housed in acid-free boxes.
A ten-year memorandum with the Lebanese Maronite Order gives the foundation management of the museum and its collection in Chtoura, Bekaa, to be kept open to everyone free of charge.
